Founded in 1953, our club is on the the western edge of Greater Manchester, very close to the M60/M62 junction 11. We are affiliated to the Lancashire Archery Association (LAA), the Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS) and Archery GB (previously know as The Grand National Archery Society, GNAS).
Our grounds are secure with 24-7 access for members. Recurve, compound, longbow and novice archers are welcome to join, where novice archers must have successfully completed a beginners course run by EAC or another Archery UK alliliated club.
The indoor range is small but perfectly formed. It started out as a stables but has been adapted to our own busy little indoor range. It is used for beginners courses and training and is very useful on the cold dark days of winter.
Eccles archery club has its own secure, fenced outdoor range that can accommodate up to 18 bosses. Our members have their own key and allows them 24 access.
We have regular shoots through out the year including Frostbite league in the winter and handicap shoot through the summer. Eccles hosts UK Record status shoots
It has a paved path to the shooting line which is also paved. This allows for easy disabled access.
Archers can be found on the shooting line most Saturdays and Sunday mornings but with 24/7 access you may find someone brushing up on their technique any time.
